About the newsroom
Common Current is an automated news bulletin covering places, civic life, culture and daily life. Stories are ingested from named public-interest RSS feeds - such as U.S. federal weather, geological, health and municipal government sources - and published with light editorial formatting rather than original on-the-ground reporting.
Every story carries its original source and, where the source provides one, a publication timestamp. Where a feed only permits a bounded summary, Common Current publishes a short excerpt and a link back to the source instead of the full text.
Common Current is operated by MURAT YILMAZ. Questions about a specific story or the sourcing behind it can be sent through the Contact page; correction requests go through Corrections.
This page describes the network as it operates today. It does not claim editorial staffing, review processes or track record beyond what is stated here.
